Friday at 5pm our AC went out on our 12 year old unit. The first company I called came to take a look and did not even troubleshoot, they immediately moved to sell me a new unit with high pressure sales tactics. I told them I would rather know the cost and shop prices, and then they charged me $99 for the visit and I did not have any word on what was wrong with the unit. Which is when I decided to call Kyzar for an actual proper service call. The tech arrived at 7 and began running his diagnostics and determined the unit was low on refrigerant. He was able to fill it and get my house cooling by 8pm. I then approved the leak test to find where it could be leaking from. After searching he found both coils were leaking due to age. I then asked for a repair quotes which he happily took the time to do. After looking at the age of the unit and availability of parts, we realized pretty quickly the repair would not be a good idea and he did not recommend it. In fact getting a new unit would have been the cheaper option. Our tech was patient while my wife and talked about the plan since it was such a big purchase. We decided to go with a brand new unit that would help us with energy costs and help our home feel better. With that being said, they allowed us to apply our balance for the tech call to the new unit we purchased for the home. The tech stayed until midnight making sure we are setup and until we could decide. He actually told us about a great rebate/deal that was happening with a new unit. He even offered to return and refill the refrigerant between the first call and install if needed. True customer service. But it gets better. On the day of install, the two techs arrived and saw we had a broken attic ladder and decided we could not get the install done until the ladder was repaired which would delay the install 1 day. I had a ladder ready to install and attempted to do it while they were here and they realized I needed help. Both techs quickly jumped into action and helped me install the ladder, totally unexpected and did not ask for anything in return. I don’t think any other company would have done that. They even took the time to make sure the ladder trim was lined up and installed just like they found it. I bet if I had the paint here they would have made sure the color matched as well. It was above and beyond and I was totally blown away by the care they had for such a small task that wasn’t even their responsibility. The next day the unit was installed and our unit is cooling and running quieter than ever before. If you need a company that actually wants to take care of its customers, call kyzar. Purchased an AC unit from Kyzar 8 years ago. The unit recently started having some trouble. I called to schedule service. They offered to come out same day, with no additional fee. Worked with techs Tavaris & Bill. Both were outstanding, knowledgeable, kind, took time to explain problems and offer suggestions. Exactly what was promised, was done. Very happy with my experience.
