No purchase necessary. Nothing to buy, and buying something will not help you win. This is a judged contest, not a drawing. Entries are scored on the published criteria in Section 6. Chance plays no part in who wins.
1. Sponsors
This contest is sponsored by Kyzar Air Conditioning of South Florida LLC, 2636 Old Okeechobee Road, West Palm Beach, FL 33409 (the "Sponsor"), together with Dream Land Plumbing LLC. Both operate as one company. The Sponsor administers the contest and is responsible for awarding and installing the prize.
2. Nature of this contest
This is a contest of skill. Every entry is judged against the published criteria in Section 6 and scored out of 100 points. No element of the outcome is determined by chance, no lot is drawn, and no consideration of any kind is required to enter or to win. Entry is free.
3. Contest period
Entries are accepted from August 20, 2026 through 11:59 PM Eastern on September 30, 2026. Entries received after that time are not eligible. The Sponsor's clock is the official timekeeper. Judging takes place on October 1 and 2, 2026, and the winner is announced on October 3, 2026.
4. Who can enter
- You must be 18 years of age or older.
- You must be a legal resident of the State of Florida.
- You must own, or have the written permission of the owner of, a residential property in Palm Beach, Broward, Martin and St. Lucie Counties, Florida where the prize would be installed.
- The property must be a single-family home, townhome, or condominium unit. Commercial properties, multi-family buildings and new construction are not eligible.
Employees of the Sponsor, of Dream Land Plumbing LLC, and their immediate family members and households, are not eligible. One entry per household. Duplicate entries from the same household are consolidated into the first entry received.
5. How to enter
There are two steps, and both are required for an entry to be judged.
- Complete the entry form atkyzarairconditioning.com/water-heater-giveaway/ with your name, email address, telephone number and ZIP code.
- Attach at least one photograph of the water heater currently installed at your property, using the photo field on the form. Up to three photographs may be submitted.
- Write an account of your experience with that water heater in the field provided. An entry with no written account forfeits the 40 points available in that category.
All three parts are submitted together and an entry is complete the moment the form is sent. If a photograph fails to upload, the confirmation screen says so and you may reply to your confirmation email with the photograph attached instead. An entry submitted that way is judged on exactly the same terms.
There is no minimum or maximum length for the written account and it is not judged on spelling, grammar or style. It is judged on what it tells the judges about the condition of the equipment and the entrant's experience with it.
Photographs must be of a water heater you own or are permitted to photograph, must be taken by you, and must not be altered in any way that changes the condition of the equipment shown. The written account must be your own work, must describe your own experience, and must be true. Entries containing images the entrant does not own the rights to, images of a water heater not installed at the entrant's property, or an account that is fabricated or written by someone else, are disqualified.
The judges may ask an entrant for one additional photograph or for clarification of a detail in order to verify an entry. An entrant who does not respond within seven calendar days of such a request may be disqualified at the Sponsor's discretion.
If you would prefer not to enter online, you may enter by mail. Send your name, email address, telephone number, ZIP code and a printed photograph of your water heater to: Water Heater Contest, 2636 Old Okeechobee Road, West Palm Beach, FL 33409. Mailed entries must be received by September 30, 2026. Mail entry is offered on exactly the same terms as online entry and confers no advantage or disadvantage.
6. Judging criteria
Two qualified plumbing technicians employed by the Sponsor independently score every eligible entry out of 100 points, using the following criteria and weights. 60 points relate to the condition of the equipment and 40 points relate to the written account. Where the two scores differ, the average is used.
- Rust and corrosion (20 points). Surface staining scores low. A tank leaking at the seam, with corrosion spreading onto the slab, scores high.
- Age (15 points). Photograph the manufacturer's date sticker. Most tanks are replaced at twelve years. Older scores higher.
- Improvised repairs (15 points). Temporary fixes still doing permanent work: tape, clamps, a bucket, a redirected hose. Scored on how far the repair sits from code.
- Code and safety problems (10 points). Missing drain pan, no expansion tank, improper venting, unsupported or corroded connections.
- The story (40 points). What the water heater has cost you: repairs, water damage, cold showers, time. Specific and true scores better than clever.
In the event of a tied total score, the judges jointly select the entry showing the water heater in worse overall condition. The judges' decisions on scoring, tie-breaking and eligibility are final and binding in all respects.
7. The prize
One prize is awarded. The prize consists of the following:
- A new residential water heater, supplied and installed
- The permit pulled and the inspection handled
- Your old unit disconnected and hauled away
- Labor and standard materials covered start to finish
Approximate retail value: up to $5,000. The Sponsor selects the make, model and capacity of the unit, sized appropriately for the winner's home. The prize is not transferable and no cash alternative is offered.
The prize covers a standard replacement installation. Work that goes beyond a standard replacement is not included, and the winner is told the cost in writing before any such work begins and is free to decline it. Work outside the prize includes, without limitation: repairs to existing plumbing, electrical or gas supply that do not meet current code; relocation of the unit; upgrades to a different fuel type or a tankless system; and remediation of water damage, mold or asbestos discovered at the site.
The winner is responsible for any federal, state or local taxes arising from the prize. The Sponsor issues an IRS Form 1099 where required by law.
8. Winner notification and claim
The winner is contacted on October 3, 2026 using the email address and telephone number given at entry. The winner must respond within seven calendar days and must provide proof of eligibility, including proof of ownership of the property or the written permission of its owner.
If the winner cannot be reached within seven calendar days, declines the prize, or is found ineligible, the prize is awarded to the entry with the next-highest score. Installation is scheduled at a mutually convenient time and must be completed within ninety days of the announcement unless the Sponsor agrees otherwise in writing.
9. Your photograph and your story
You keep ownership of your photograph and of what you write. By entering, you grant the Sponsor and Dream Land Plumbing LLC a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to reproduce, display and distribute your photograph and your written account in connection with this contest and its promotion, including on their websites, social media channels and in materials provided to news outlets. The Sponsor may edit a written account for length or clarity when publishing it, but never in a way that changes its meaning.
The Sponsor does not publish anything that identifies your address. If you would prefer your photograph or your account not be published at all, say so in your reply email. Your entry is still judged on exactly the same terms, and saying no costs you nothing.
If you win, the Sponsor may publish your first name, last initial and city. The Sponsor asks separately, and in writing, before publishing anything more than that, and you are free to say no.
10. Privacy
Information you submit is used to administer this contest and to contact you about it. The Sponsor's Privacy Policy governs how that information is handled. Entering does not sign you up for sales calls, and entries are not passed to the Sponsor's sales team. You can ask to be removed from contest communications at any time by replying to any contest email or writing to info@kyzarairconditioning.com.
11. General conditions
The Sponsor may disqualify any entry that is incomplete, fraudulent, submitted by automated means, or that violates these rules. The Sponsor may suspend, modify or terminate this contest if fraud, technical failure, or any other cause beyond its reasonable control compromises the integrity of the contest. If the contest is terminated early, the prize is awarded from the eligible entries received to that point, judged on the criteria in Section 6.
By entering, you agree to be bound by these rules and by the judges' decisions.
12. Limitation of liability
The Sponsor is not responsible for entries that are lost, late, misdirected, or not received because of email delivery failure, technical malfunction, or any other cause outside its reasonable control. By entering, you release the Sponsor and Dream Land Plumbing LLC from any liability for loss or injury arising from participation in this contest, except for liability that cannot be excluded under Florida law. Nothing in these rules limits the Sponsor's obligations as a licensed contractor for the installation work it performs.
13. Governing law
These rules are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Any dispute arising out of this contest is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Palm Beach County, Florida. This contest is void where prohibited.
